The Sunrise Tomorrow Specific Plan is required to be analyzed under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). CEQA is a statute that requires agencies to identify the significant environmental impacts of their actions and to avoid or mitigate those impacts, if feasible.
The Sunrise Tomorrow Specific Plan will require the development of an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) to analyze and disclose the impacts of the proposed project. The EIR will be prepared in the fall/winter of 2020.
Notice of Preparation
The Notice of Preparation is available for review here. The purpose of the NOP is to solicit input from agencies, organizations and the public on the scope and content of the environmental information to be included in the Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR).
Comments should be sent to Casey Kempenaar, Planning Manager at email@example.com or mailed to Casey Kempenaar, Planning Manager at 6360 Fountain Square Drive, Citrus Heights CA, 95621
An Initial Study has been prepared for this Specific Plan. The Initial Study identifies environmental areas/issues that would result in No Impact or a Less than Significant Impact, and environmental areas/issues that would result in a Potentially Significant Impact. All Potentially Significant Impact areas/issues will be addressed in greater detail in the Draft EIR. Areas/issues that would result in No Impact or a Less than Significant Impact, as identified in the Initial Study, will not be addressed further in the Draft EIR.
A Public Scoping Meeting will take place on August 25, 2020 from 5:00 to 6:00 PM via Zoom. Visit our Sunrise Tomorrow Community Events page to register for the Zoom meeting and receive more information.
